Recently I have returned from a 3 week placement in Nepal. We were living with a host family in Kathmandu Valley; they were so welcoming and made us feel instantly like part of the family! Our mother was the most amazing cook, her food was delicious. In the mornings we worked in a home with 9 very happy, funny, bright and caring boys. In the afternoons we worked in a summer camp teaching anything from letter writing to Justin Bieber (he really does get everywhere!) The kids were just awesome fun, we had such a laugh and it was so great to see their confidence in speaking English improve so rapidly. I met some amazing other volunteers from all over the world who I really hope to keep in touch with. My biggest regret is that I was only there for 3 weeks there is so much to do, Nepal has definitely drawn me back, I’m already planning my next visit! My one piece of advice would be book it, I promise you won’t regret it!!
