I had an amazing time at the wildlife rescue center, the center itself was really cool but the people are what really made it worth it. Any issues that I had were not with the center itself.Country
Costa Rica is a bit expensive in general. I absolutely loved all the greenery and nature that was prevalent throughout the whole country, it was really breathtaking. In general the people are also very nice, friendly, and helpful.
Project & Staff
I really enjoyed the helping the animals, even if the work was a bit tedious at times, it was definitely worth it because of the animals. It really felt like you were making a positive rip act on these animals’ lives. The staff at the center we’re super friendly and very welcoming and didn’t hesitate to help if you had any questions.
Tips
Bring your own toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. As they don’t have any at the center. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. As long as you are nice and friendly, everyone is gonna be nice and friendly towards you. If you see an opportunity to socialize you should try and take it, meeting new people and making new friends is what really makes the program special. The food can get a bit repetitive so it’s not a bad idea to bring some snacks
