General Impression
Overall Rating:
/ 10The image I had in my head of Kenya and Africa in general was completely different before actually spending a month over there. One of the best months in my life, I can truly say!I was working as a Teacher in Kikuyu town, Nairobi. There were 40 children in my class, each of those 5 years old were adorable, funny and sweet. I’ve learned all of their names and even some of their African surnames. I was teaching English, Maths and Swahili.
The most rewarding moments as I remember were those when I was helping the ones that were slower than others with their class work and those kids were actually improved so much at the end of the month. It was a little change that I’ve made but I believe that for them it was a lot. I’m really glad I got to go to Kenya!
